VeloForge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered cycling coaching platform operated by Kerry Sullivan (contact: ks@veloforge.app). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using VeloForge (including our website, mobile apps, and related services), you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we may collect your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details you choose to provide (for example FTP, heart-rate zones, goals, or preferences).
Training, recovery, and health-related data
When you connect third-party services, we receive data those services make available through their official APIs or integrations. Depending on what you authorize, this may include:
- Activities and workouts (e.g. rides, power, heart rate, cadence, distance, elevation, intervals, training load)
- Wellness and recovery metrics (e.g. resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, readiness, weight)
- Device or platform metadata needed to sync and match sessions
- Nutrition and fueling inputs you log in the app
We do not ask for or store your third-party login passwords. Connections use official OAuth, API keys you authorize, or platform-approved flows.
Usage and technical data
We may collect basic device and app diagnostics (e.g. app version, crash logs, timestamps) to keep the service reliable and secure.
2. Third-party integrations
Depending on what you connect, VeloForge may receive data from services such as:
- Intervals.icu — activities, intervals, training load, and wellness/recovery data you authorize
- Strava — activities and related metrics you authorize
- Garmin — activities and related health/training data you authorize
- Wahoo / Hammerhead — workouts and device data you authorize
- Apple Health — health and workout data you grant on device
- Other sources you explicitly connect in the future
Each provider has its own privacy policy. Their practices govern how they collect and share data before it reaches VeloForge. We only access data you explicitly authorize for VeloForge.
3. How we use your data
We use your information to:
- Provide adaptive coaching, training plans, recovery guidance, and nutrition tools (including features such as ForgeBlocks™, Load Index™, Recovery Intelligence™, and FuelSync™)
- Sync, normalize, and display your training history across connected sources
- Generate AI coaching insights and plan updates based on your authorized data
- Operate, secure, and improve the product (including debugging and quality)
- Communicate about your account, product updates, or support requests
We use your data only for these product purposes and related legitimate operations.
4. AI processing
VeloForge uses AI models to generate coaching guidance and plan suggestions. Relevant context from your authorized training and recovery data may be sent to our AI providers solely to produce those outputs for you. We do not sell your personal training data.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data only with:
- Service providers who help us run the product (e.g. hosting, authentication, AI inference), under obligations to protect your data
- Integrations you choose to connect, only as needed for that connection
- Authorities when required by law
We may use anonymized or aggregated statistics to improve models and product quality in a way that does not identify you.
6. Data retention
We retain account and training data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion or close your account, we will delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
7. Your rights and choices
- Disconnect any integration at any time in the app
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing ks@veloforge.app
- Revoke OAuth access for a provider in that provider’s settings as well
We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (including encrypted transport and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children
VeloForge is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. International users
We may process data in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. By using VeloForge you understand your information may be transferred to those locations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of VeloForge after changes means you accept the updated policy.
